DESIGN A MOVIE POSTER FOR BABYLON CENTRAL:

Babylon Central is a fictional film is about a courier by day and aspiring DJ by night who finds himself in an economic power play with a Saudi Prince after forgetting an important delivery.  Filmed in 2006 and 2007 by Thievery Corporation frontman Eric Hilton and ESL Music label manager Phil Hawken on HVX cameras and a borrowed truck full of rental gear, the indie picture uses the backdrop of Washington, DC as a main character.   

The music selected for the score is also an unspoken film character. As music has been the driving creative force behind Hilton’s career with Thievery Corporation and ESL Music, he carefully selected 42 different songs for the inclusion in the film score. The result is an incredible 17-song soundtrack that includes rare, vintage, out-of print, and previously unreleased sonic gems selected by Eric Hilton.  

The band and label want creative interpretations of a movie poster to display at select events and for use online. Think big and artistic. The only requirement is to include the words "Babylon Central" and "a film by Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation" in the poster.

The winning design will receive a $200 activation fee, a pair of Pioneer HDJ-1000 headphones, tickets to an upcoming Thievery Corporation show and copies of the film DVD and soundtrack CD.
